Acclaimed director Park Chan-wook and actor Lee Byung-hun graced the 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) with their presence for the premiere of their latest film, 'Dream Maker' (translated title: 'He Can't Help It').

The film held its Gala Presentation screening on September 8th, with the director and star walking the red carpet amidst enthusiastic fans and media. They interacted warmly, signing autographs and taking photos, further amplifying the excitement surrounding the premiere.

Adding to the night's prestige, Lee Byung-hun was honored with the Special Tribute Award, becoming the first Korean actor to receive this distinguished accolade. Reflecting on the film's journey, Lee shared, "I first heard the story for this film from Director Park Chan-wook 15 years ago, and I'm thrilled it's finally meeting the audience." He expressed his confidence, stating, "It's a must-see film, and I hope audiences will be 'unable to help' but be drawn to it."

Following the screening, the audience erupted in applause, captivated by Park Chan-wook's distinct directorial vision, the powerful performances from the cast led by Lee, and the film's unique visual style. Critics lauded the film for its departure from Park's previous works, praising his ability to weave humor into profound narratives and deliver a compelling message.

After captivating audiences in Venice and now Toronto, 'Dream Maker' is set to release in South Korea on September 24th, poised to become a major fall hit.

Lee Byung-hun, a titan of the South Korean film industry, made his debut in 1991 and has since garnered international acclaim for his diverse roles. He has successfully crossed over into Hollywood, starring in major productions such as the 'G.I. Joe' franchise, 'Terminator Genisys', and 'The Magnificent Seven'. Lee holds the distinction of being the first Korean actor to present an award at the Academy Awards ceremony.
