Actress Shin Hyun-been has shared her thoughts on portraying a character without revealing her face in the upcoming film 'The Face'.

During a virtual press conference held on the afternoon of the 10th, which included director Yeon Sang-ho and cast members Park Jung-min, Kwon Hae-hyo, Shin Hyun-been, Im Sung-jae, and Han Ji-hyun, Shin Hyun-been discussed her unique acting experience.

In the film, she plays the younger version of Jung Young-hee, a character described as 'grotesquely ugly'. However, to leave room for the audience's imagination, Shin Hyun-been's face is never explicitly shown, with her character constantly concealing her features with long hair.

"I believe this is an unprecedented acting experience, not just for me but for all the actors involved," Shin Hyun-been stated. "While it was difficult and daunting to prepare for, I also found it to be an interesting challenge." She added, "My greatest hope was that even without her face being directly visible, there would be room for the audience to imagine her character. I contemplated whether her emotions and feelings could be conveyed through other means. It turned out to be a new kind of experience and an opportunity to broaden my perspectives."

'The Face' is scheduled to premiere on the 11th.

Shin Hyun-been debuted in the 2010 film 'Midnight FM'. She gained significant popularity for her role as Jang Gyeo-wool in the 'Hospital Playlist' series. Recently, her performance in 'Reborn Rich' further showcased her versatile acting range.
