Comedian Kim Soo-yong Reveals Near-Miss Fortune with Top Sneaker Brand Investment

Broadcaster Kim Soo-yong shared his regret over a missed opportunity to become a multi-millionaire after investing in a now-booming sneaker brand.

Appearing on the MBC variety show 'Radio Star' on the 10th, Kim Soo-yong discussed his past investment in a popular shoe brand. Host Kim Gu-ra brought up the topic, mentioning that a comfortable pair of shoes Kim Soo-yong had recommended earlier had become a massive success and that he was a shareholder.

When asked about his stake, Kim Soo-yong revealed he owned 5% of the shares before the brand's big break, lamenting, 'I almost hit the jackpot!' The current value of that stake is estimated to be in the tens of billions of won, a figure that even drew a sympathetic reaction from the hosts.

Kim Soo-yong debuted as a comedian through a KBS special recruitment in 1995 and has since been active in various entertainment programs.
