The 50th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) was illuminated on September 10th (local time) as Korean actresses Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo captured the spotlight at the world premiere of their new film, 'Project Y'.

The two stars exuded contrasting yet captivating styles on the red carpet. Han So-hee opted for a sophisticated peach-toned gown featuring delicate draping and a daring neckline, accessorized with leaf-pattern earrings and white heels. Jun Jong-seo presented a chic and elegant silhouette in a white lace tube-top gown with a bold sweetheart neckline and corset-like fit, complemented by long lace gloves that added an air of mystique.

The premiere marked the global debut of 'Project Y', a crime-action drama directed and written by Lee Hwan. The film centers on Mi-seon (played by Han So-hee) and Do-kyung (played by Jun Jong-seo), two women who rely solely on each other as they navigate a perilous escape by stealing hidden cash and gold bars.

Officially selected for TIFF's Special Presentations section, Han and Jun appeared alongside director Lee to enthusiastic fan reception. Giovanna Fulvi, TIFF Senior Programmer, lauded the film's potent blend of intensity and emotion, stating, "Han So-hee and Jun Jong-seo create an irresistible pull. With adrenaline-pumping action, the scars of childhood, and a fierce struggle for survival, the film delivers both electrifying tension and deep emotional resonance. Centered on a daring scheme, 'Project Y' is one of the most anticipated Korean films of the year."

Following its successful premiere at TIFF, 'Project Y' is slated for release in South Korean theaters.

Han So-hee, known for her captivating roles in 'The World of the Married' and 'Nevertheless', has rapidly ascended as a leading actress in South Korea. Her versatility was further highlighted in the action series 'My Name', proving her ability to embody diverse characters. She is set to star in the upcoming Netflix series 'Gyeongseong Creature'.
