Veteran entertainer Lee Kyung-kyu has revealed that he is still taking medication for panic disorder, even after facing controversy for driving under the influence of prescribed drugs.

In a recent YouTube video uploaded on the channel 'God Kyung-kyu' on the 11th, Lee met with his high school friend and CEO of Pungwoldang, Park Jong-ho. Pungwoldang is a renowned classical music store and cultural space in Seoul.

During their conversation, Lee joked that he should have sought help from Park, a former psychiatrist, when he was suffering from panic disorder. Park humorously replied, "You would have been cured by now. Are you still taking medication?" to which Lee confirmed, "I'm still taking it." Park then quipped, "If you had come to me, that traffic accident wouldn't have happened either," eliciting laughter.

Lee was previously sent to prosecutors without detention in July for driving after consuming prescribed medication. His legal representative stated at the time that Lee had suffered from panic disorder for a decade and had taken his medication the day before the incident, but drove to the hospital due to a worsening condition that day, acknowledging his carelessness.

Park then introduced the opera 'Pagliacci' to Lee, drawing parallels between the protagonist who must perform despite personal sorrow and the life of a comedian. Lee deeply resonated, sharing, "Even if I wake up furious and can't film, when they say 'Action,' I have to do it. Then I return to reality after filming."

Lee also discussed his upcoming film project, seeking Park's advice on incorporating classical music. Park expressed support while also sharing fond memories and concerns, recalling Lee's energetic personality since high school and hoping for his continued success.

Lee Kyung-kyu, a veteran comedian, debuted in 1981 and is considered one of South Korea's most beloved entertainers.

He has been publicly open about his decade-long struggle with panic disorder and receives ongoing treatment.

Beyond his television hosting career, Lee has also ventured into film direction.
