Actor Jang Hyuk appeared on MBN's reality-variety show 'Let's Go Season 5' and candidly shared his deep connection with god member Park Joon-hyung and his relationship with actress Jun Ji-hyun.

During the broadcast on the 13th, Jang Hyuk chose a boxing gym as the opening location, showcasing his passion for acting and boxing. Park Joon-hyung reminisced about their time living together in the same agency dorm in 1996, boasting about their special friendship. He humorously noted knowing Jang Hyuk 'before he even had armpit hair,' praising his unchanging looks.

In response, Jang Hyuk quipped, "Park Joon-hyung was a healthy American, but after living in the dorm, he became a sad American." The two recalled their difficult trainee days before their debut. They revealed that due to the agency's financial issues, they often went hungry without proper support. Park Joon-hyung confessed, "I lost weight from 88kg to 63kg in a year and a half," while Jang Hyuk added, "We were all starving, so everyone was losing weight." He shared an anecdote about Park Joon-hyung's friend 'Heung,' who, upon learning Korean, immediately said, "I'm hungry, give me food," and was seen eating shrimp crackers mixed with water.

Jang Hyuk also revealed that he offered acting advice to the god members. He stated, "When I learned acting, I studied main character roles, and just like learning a language, listening is crucial in acting." When Hong Hyun-hee asked if Jang Hyuk was responsible for creating Yoon Kye-sang's character 'Jang Chen,' Jang Hyuk chuckled, "It probably helped a little."

Furthermore, Jang Hyuk shared a heartwarming story with Yoon Kye-sang. He recounted taking Yoon Kye-sang, who was ill at the time, to a snack bar to buy ramen because he had no money. However, Yoon Kye-sang hesitated, saying he couldn't eat alone. Jang Hyuk insisted, "If you collapse too, what will the other members do?" and persuaded him to eat, creating a touching moment.

Jang Hyuk also spoke about his connection with actress Jun Ji-hyun. As they belonged to the same agency early in their careers, they practiced acting together as rookie actors. Jang Hyuk described Jun Ji-hyun as "just like a younger sister," highlighting their comfortable relationship.

Jang Hyuk has consistently delivered impactful performances in a wide range of roles since the early 2000s, solidifying his status as a veteran actor. Known for his intense action sequences and nuanced emotional portrayals, he has carved out a unique niche in the industry. His upcoming role in the Netflix series 'The Accidental Detective' is highly anticipated by global audiences, marking another exciting chapter in his career.
