Actor Jang Hyuk and god leader Park Jun-hyeok shared heartfelt stories of their 30-year friendship and past struggles on MBN's entertainment show 'Gabojago', captivating viewers with their candid talk.

In the 11th episode of 'Gabojago' Season 5, aired on the 13th, Jang Hyuk's home in Songpa-gu was revealed for the first time. Park Jun-hyeok, along with MCs Ahn Jung-hwan and Hong Hyun-hee, visited the actor's meticulously organized residence. The tour included his living room, kitchen, and a hobby room filled with genre-specific DVDs, figures, and trophies, all of which drew admiration.

The close friends reminisced about their first impressions of each other. Park described Jang as looking like a 'puppy who just went through a breakup,' while Jang playfully depicted Park as an 'American who became sad from not being able to eat.' Their witty exchanges brought laughter to the audience.

Recalling their early days before debut, Park Jun-hyeok shared his significant weight loss, dropping from 89-91kg to 63kg. Jang Hyuk further revealed the extreme poverty they faced, including not being able to pay for their dorm's electricity. He recounted how they would borrow meat from a restaurant owner on credit, earning the nickname 'grasshopper swarm' for their insatiable appetite, sometimes having to excuse themselves to vomit and then return to eat more, highlighting their desperate situation.

Park Jun-hyeok also unveiled the story behind god's debut and their hit song 'Mother's Mother.' He explained that the agency initially hesitated to pay for their dorm's electricity, unsure of their success. However, after six months, seeing the members still present, they released an album, which unexpectedly became a major hit. He shared how his personal experience with racial discrimination in the US during his childhood and his mother's lunchbox story led to the creation of 'Mother's Mother' by J.Y. Park.

Jang Hyuk discussed his transition to action acting, mentioning that after witnessing an accident involving a stunt double on the set of his second film, 'JJang,' he resolved to take responsibility for his own movements and began intense physical training. He emphasized his sense of responsibility as a lead actor, stating that his injury would jeopardize the entire production.

Jang Hyuk, born in 1976 with the birth name Jung Yong-joon, debuted in 1996 with the film 'Volcano High'. He is widely recognized for his exceptional action performances in numerous dramas and films, earning him the nickname 'Master of Action'. Beyond his acting career, Jang Hyuk has also explored music and graduated from the Korea National University of Arts with a degree in acting.
