Broadcaster Choi Eun-kyung has candidly shared her feelings about her abrupt departure from the long-running MBN show 'Dongeuchi-mi' (Tongue-and-Groove), which she hosted for 13 years.

Appearing on TV CHOSUN's 'Gourmet Huh Young-man's White Ban-gi' on the 14th, Choi discussed her exit from the show with host Huh Young-man. When Huh asked why she was no longer appearing on 'Dongeuchi-mi,' Choi responded, "I'm not doing it anymore." She added, "You can think of my entire 40s being dedicated to that show. I worked so hard that I have absolutely zero regrets."

She further explained, "When you work that hard, you reach a point where you just tell yourself, 'Applause, good job, me.' My life's pace for the past decade was incredibly fast." Currently, she is focusing solely on her YouTube channel.

Choi Eun-kyung was appointed MC of 'Dongeuchi-mi' in 2012 and was a cornerstone of the program for 13 years. However, she received notice of her departure in March due to program restructuring. The sudden exit of Choi, alongside Park Soo-hong, who were considered the 'founding pillars' of the show, left many disappointed. The fact that they couldn't even bid a proper farewell added to the regret.

While Kim Yong-man and Lee Hyun-yi currently host 'Dongeuchi-mi,' recent changes, including E-Nock's departure, have also drawn criticism regarding MC shifts. Amidst this, Choi Eun-kyung's statement, "I have no regrets because I worked so hard," and her dignified conduct as a former MC toward the program and broadcasting station are earning her widespread support.

Choi Eun-kyung began her career as a KBS announcer in 1997, later transitioning to freelance work and establishing herself as a versatile entertainer across various variety shows. She is beloved by fans not only for her excellent hosting skills but also for her healthy lifestyle and self-care routines. Recently, she has been actively engaging with her fans through her personal YouTube channel.
