Popular Webtoon 'Personal Taxi' Confirmed for Drama Adaptation with Star-Studded Cast Including Cha Tae-hyun and Lee Jae-in!

The highly popular webtoon 'Personal Taxi' is set to be adapted into an 8-episode, mid-form season drama.

On the 15th, production companies Big Square and Studio Flow officially announced the drama's production, revealing a star-studded cast that includes Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Jae-in, Lim Se-mi, Hyun Bong-sik, Lee Yeon-hee, Kim Do-hyun, Mimi, Joo Jong-hyuk, Ye Ji-won, Ahn Ji-ho, Im Ha-ryong, and Ye Soo-jung.

'Personal Taxi' is a human healing music drama set against the backdrop of a mysterious taxi that only picks up pre-booked passengers. It weaves together the ordinary yet special stories of customers, accompanied by requested songs, showcasing the collaborative efforts of director Jeon Chang-geun and music directors Park Sung-il and Han Saem.

Notably, Cha Tae-hyun, returning to the small screen after a two-year hiatus since 'Moving', is expected to lead the series with his warm and delicate emotional performance. The drama will further be elevated by the participation of a wide array of actors spanning different generations, including Lee Jae-in, Lim Se-mi, Hyun Bong-sik, Lee Yeon-hee, Kim Do-hyun, Mimi, Joo Jong-hyuk, Ye Ji-won, Ahn Ji-ho, Im Ha-ryong, and Ye Soo-jung.

The drama has secured a co-production agreement with Japan's Fuji TV and plans to expand into global markets, starting with Korea. It has also received support from the Korea Creative Content Agency's '2025 OTT Specialized Content Production Support (IP Securing Type)' project, ensuring a stable production environment. Studio Flow, known for producing Netflix's 'In the Soop: Friendcation' and 'A Time Called You', is co-producing, further enhancing expectations for the series' quality.

Filming for 'Personal Taxi' is scheduled to commence this September.

Cha Tae-hyun makes his comeback to the small screen with 'Personal Taxi' after a two-year break since his role in 'Moving'. He has solidified his public image as 'trustworthy' through his unique humor and warm human touch.
