The popular webtoon 'Personal Taxi' has officially announced its cast for an upcoming 8-episode mid-form drama series, co-produced with Japan's Fuji TV. The lineup features a stellar ensemble including Cha Tae-hyun, Lee Jae-in, Im Se-mi, Hyun Bong-sik, Lee Yeon-hee, Kim Do-hyun, Mimi, Joo Jong-hyuk, Ye Ji-won, Ahn Ji-ho, Lim Ha-ryong, and Ye Soo-jung.

'Personal Taxi' is a human healing music drama centered around a peculiar taxi service that only picks up pre-booked passengers. It weaves together the ordinary yet special stories of its customers, accompanied by their song requests, offering comfort and relatability.

The series will be helmed by director Jeon Chang-geun, known for his nuanced direction in works like 'The Queen of Office' and 'Artificial City'. The musical direction will be handled by Park Sung-il and Han Saem, who previously garnered acclaim for their profound use of music in dramas such as 'My Mister' and 'Misaeng'.

Veteran actor Cha Tae-hyun, returning to drama after two years following his success in 'Moving', is set to lead the series with his signature warm and sensitive performance. He will be joined by Lee Jae-in, who has been building a strong presence in both film and drama, and actress Im Se-mi. Rising stars Hyun Bong-sik and Lee Yeon-hee, along with Kim Do-hyun, known for his versatile roles in 'Reborn Rich' and 'Queen of Tears', are also on board.

Mimi, a member of the popular idol group WJSN, will make her acting debut in a drama, sparking anticipation. The cast also includes Joo Jong-hyuk, recognized for his solid performances in 'Proof of Innocence' and 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo', the uniquely charismatic Ye Ji-won, and emerging actor Ahn Ji-ho.

Adding to the star power are veteran actors Lim Ha-ryong, who has carved a unique niche in the industry, and Ye Soo-jung, celebrated for her profound acting across various genres and platforms. The drama is co-produced with Fuji TV and is slated for global expansion across Asia, North America, and Europe. Studio Flow, known for producing Netflix series like 'Song of the Bandits' and 'A Time Called You', is co-producing, aiming for high production quality. Filming is scheduled to commence this September.

Cha Tae-hyun debuted in 1995 with the film 'School Report' and has maintained a nearly 30-year acting career. Beyond acting, he is widely loved for his roles in variety shows such as '2 Days & 1 Night' and 'You Quiz on the Block'. His cheerful and humane charm has solidified his reputation as a 'trustworthy actor' among the public.
