
Yeon Sang-ho's 'The Face' Reclaims Box Office Crown Amidst 'No Choice' Dominating Pre-Sales
Director Yeon Sang-ho's latest film, 'The Face', has once again climbed to the top of the box office charts, proving its continued appeal to audiences.
According to data from the Korean Film Council's integrated network for movie ticket sales, 'The Face' attracted 39,495 viewers on the 15th alone. This brought its total cumulative audience to 356,734, successfully reclaiming the number one spot.
Following 'The Face' in second place was 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train Arc', which garnered 33,239 admissions on the day, pushing its total to an impressive 4,499,446 viewers. 'The Killer Report' secured third place with 8,976 daily viewers, reaching a cumulative audience of 306,559. 'F1 The Movie' came in fourth with 8,700 viewers, accumulating 5,048,524 in total, while 'The Conjuring: The Final Ritual' ranked fifth, drawing 7,298 viewers for a total of 373,081.
Meanwhile, looking ahead, director Park Chan-wook's new film 'No Choice' is showing strong early interest, topping the real-time pre-sale reservation rate with 42.6% as of 9 AM on the 16th.
Yeon Sang-ho is renowned for his distinctive cinematic universe, notably showcased in blockbusters like 'Train to Busan' and 'Peninsula'.
