S.E.S.'s Shoo Addresses Feud Rumors with Bada, Stating 'We Didn't Fight, She Was By My Side'
Shoo, a member of the iconic K-pop group S.E.S., has directly addressed rumors of a falling out with her fellow member Bada.
In a recent interview, Shoo expressed her frustration, stating, "I don't understand why these rumors of me parting ways with or feuding with Bada-unnie are spreading when I've done nothing wrong. After the divorce rumors subsided, now there are feud rumors. It feels like I'm only being highlighted for negative things."
She clarified the origins of the feud rumors, which stemmed from a controversy over her attire, explaining, "What was said was a misinterpretation of advice given by her as an older sister. It couldn't have possibly escalated into a fight or a feud."
Shoo further elaborated, "When Bada-unnie and Eugene take photos together, articles come out saying 'Only Shoo is missing,' and if I post a picture with Eugene, people say 'Bada is missing again.' It feels like we're being exploited." She added, "We try to show the S.E.S. fans want to see, but sometimes I think it's better to maintain some distance."
Recalling past events, Shoo emphasized their strong bond. "When my activities were difficult due to personal reasons, Bada-unnie told me to 'stay by her side and not go anywhere else,' and I ended up working under her agency," she said, expressing deep gratitude.
"Even when I say it's absolutely not a feud, many people don't believe it," Shoo confessed. "However, we are not the kind of people who would cut ties. Recently, Bada-unnie sent me a text congratulating me on my YouTube comeback," she revealed, reaffirming their unwavering friendship.
Shoo married former basketball player Im Hyo-sung in 2010 and is a mother to two daughters and one son. After facing significant challenges in her career due to past controversies, she has made a comeback by launching a YouTube channel. Currently, she is actively engaged in various endeavors including broadcasting, business ventures, and volunteer work.
