IU Reunites with Young Co-Star Kim Tae-yeon from 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' at Fan Meeting

Fans of the hit Netflix series 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' were treated to a heartwarming reunion between global superstar IU and her young co-star Kim Tae-yeon.

The two actresses, who portrayed Ae-soon at different stages of life in the drama — IU as the adult version and Kim Tae-yeon as the child — met again at IU’s 2025 IU FAN MEET-UP [Bye, Summer]. The event was held at Seoul’s KSPO Dome on September 13–14.

Photos shared on social media by Kim Tae-yeon’s mother captured the young actress standing beside IU, both beaming with joy. IU offered a charming cheek-heart gesture while gazing warmly at Kim Tae-yeon, creating a touching moment reminiscent of the series that first brought them together.

"Tae-yeon was so touched and emotional after meeting her unnie that she felt like crying throughout the concert… It was truly a happy time!" Kim Tae-yeon’s mother shared. The young actress herself expressed her admiration, saying, "Unnie, you were so amazing. You’re so beautiful. I love you, IU unnie."

Their reunion beautifully enhanced the warm atmosphere of IU’s fan meeting, which attracted approximately 20,000 fans over the two-day period.
