Ki Tae-young Reveals Lavish Childhood, 'No Pocket Money, Just Given Funds'

Actor Ki Tae-young has shed light on his affluent upbringing, surprising many.

On the 17th, a video titled 'Review of 18 Nostalgic Snacks That 80s/90s Kids Will Relate To' was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'EugeneVS Tae-young,' run by the celebrity couple.

During the video, Eugene and Ki Tae-young reminisced about their childhoods while tasting old-school snacks. When asked by the production team about his allowance, Ki Tae-young stated, 'I didn't receive pocket money. My parents would just give me money whenever I needed it.'

Eugene chimed in, adding, 'My family was very well-off. I heard there was always a basket full of money on the living room table, and I could take what I needed.' This revelation left viewers astonished.

Ki Tae-young further elaborated, 'Thanks to that, I used to take my elementary school friends to Lotte World and Seoul Land several times a week.' This implied a childhood of significant financial freedom.

When Eugene jokingly said, 'I should have met you back then,' Ki Tae-young responded, 'I was weak back then. If I had continued like that, I wouldn't have become the strong man I am today.' To Eugene's remark, 'Then we wouldn't have met,' he firmly stated, 'We would have met somehow,' adding a heartwarming touch.
