Actor Kim Nam-gil, who co-hosted the 34th Buil Film Awards, lightheartedly requested his fellow host, Cheon Woo-hee, to intervene if he got carried away during the ceremony, drawing laughter from the audience.

Speaking at the event held on the evening of the 18th at Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan, Kim Nam-gil began by saying, "My image has been built up as a chatterbox. Today, for the sake of this high-quality Buil Film Awards, I will try to speak less."

He then humorously added, "I apologize in advance to the film industry seniors, juniors, and viewers who might get tired while I speak." Furthermore, he playfully asked Cheon Woo-hee, "If I happen to go off track, please restrain me. There's no one here who can stop me," which sent the ceremony into fits of laughter.

Kim Nam-gil recalled a past fan meeting where he spoke for five hours, quipping, "If I start talking, I could host for five hours," to which Cheon Woo-hee responded with feigned tension, "My role will be quite significant."

The Buil Film Awards, presenting awards in 16 categories, saw winners chosen from a diverse range of nominees, spanning from popular genre films to art house cinema.
