Jung Woo-sung Makes First Public Appearance Amid Personal Life Controversy, Hints at 'Made in Korea'

Actor Jung Woo-sung has made his first official public appearance following recent personal life controversies. He attended the 34th Buil Film Awards hand-printing ceremony held at Signiel Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the 18th.

As the previous year's Best Actor awardee, Jung Woo-sung appeared for the pre-ceremony hand-printing event, sporting a beard. He shared his feelings, stating, "As last year's winner, I'm also participating as an award presenter, but I'm a bit disappointed that I don't have a film to be celebrated with this year."

He also touched upon his upcoming Disney+ original series, ‘Made in Korea,’ teasing, "It's difficult to explain in a short while," sparking anticipation for the project. ‘Made in Korea’ is set in the 1970s and chronicles the story of Baek Gi-tae (played by Hyun Bin), who harbors ambitions for wealth and power, and prosecutor Jang Geon-yeong (played by Jung Woo-sung), who risks everything to stop him, as they confront a monumental case. The series is scheduled for release in December.

Previously, Jung Woo-sung was revealed in November of last year to be the biological father of model Moon Ga-bi's son. At the time, he stated, "I will do my best to fulfill my duties as a father." It has also recently been reported that he completed a marriage registration with a non-celebrity partner.

Jung Woo-sung debuted in the 1994 film 'The Fox with Nine Tails' and has since starred in numerous hits like 'Beat,' 'City of the Rising Sun,' 'Asura: The City of Madness,' 'Innocent Witness,' and 'Hunt,' establishing himself as a leading actor in Korea. His acting prowess, along with his consistent social engagement and charitable activities, serves as an example to the public. Recently, he has also ventured into directing, showcasing his versatile talents.
