The KingDom Returns with 'HwaeGah': A Fusion of 'Miryang Arirang' and K-Pop

Boy group The KingDom (members: Dann, Arthur, Mujin, Louis, Ivan, Jahan) is set to make their comeback today, October 23rd, with their special album 'The KingDom: the flower of the moon'.

This album is a gift for their fans. The title track, 'HwaeGah', uniquely blends the melody of 'Miryang Arirang', a traditional Korean folk song, with the energetic sound of K-pop. The track features a grand collaboration between traditional Korean instruments and an orchestra, amplified by The KingDom members' powerful vocals, promising a captivating musical experience.

Unfortunately, leader Dann has enlisted for military service and will not be participating in this comeback's promotions, leaving the group to promote as a five-member unit. The album also includes three other songs: the upbeat, funky track 'Festival'; 'Forget', a heartfelt dedication to their fans; and an instrumental version of 'HwaeGah'.

The KingDom has previously garnered significant attention from K-pop fans with their 'History Of Kingdom' series, cinematic music videos, and grand performances, earning them the moniker 'cinematic idols'. They have also solidified their global presence, being the first 4th-generation idol group to top five categories on the US Amazon Music charts and charting on Billboard.

The KingDom debuted with a concept centered around a unique worldview and storytelling, establishing a distinct narrative in the K-pop scene.
