Lee Da-eun, the wife of the late former footballer Kang Ji-yong, has voiced her deep distress over the online criticism and speculation directed at her and her child following her husband's passing.

In a recent social media post, Lee Da-eun expressed her pain, stating, 'My child has done nothing wrong. Please, I beg you, do not whisper and stare in front of my child.' She pleaded for the public to refrain from judging or gossiping, especially when her child is present, emphasizing that they are not criminals.

The couple had previously appeared on JTBC's 'Divorce Camp' in February, where they candidly discussed financial struggles that led to marital conflict. At the time, Kang Ji-yong shared that after retiring from professional football, he was working in a chemical factory with a modest salary. Tragically, Kang Ji-yong passed away in April at the age of 37.

Amidst the spread of unverified rumors and malicious posts after his death, Lee Da-eun urged for an end to the speculation, stating, 'Please, I ask you to refrain from making assumptions about our family of three. My husband and I truly cherished and loved our baby, and still do. I hope our child will not be hurt as they grow up.'

Lee Da-eun has consistently shared her emotional struggles with the relentless online harassment targeting her late husband and herself. She has repeatedly clarified misconceptions about their relationship and financial situation, which were often distorted in media reports and comments. Despite these efforts, the ongoing controversy has led her to express a strong resolve to protect her family, even considering legal action.
