Beloved YouTuber 'Great Library' Passes Away at 46; Ex-Wife and Son to Serve as Chief Mourners

The Korean entertainment scene is mourning the sudden loss of popular YouTuber 'Great Library' (real name Na Dong-hyun), who passed away at the age of 46.

News broke on October 6th that Great Library was found deceased in his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. A friend alerted the authorities after being unable to reach him, leading to the discovery by police. Initial investigations have not revealed any signs of foul play or a suicide note.

Authorities are investigating the possibility of death due to illness, as he had reportedly complained of chest pain recently. The news comes as a shock, especially since he was actively participating in events, including attending the 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week just two days prior to his passing.

His wake has been set up at the Konkuk University Hospital Funeral Hall. Notably, his ex-wife, Yum Yum (real name Lee Chae-won), and her son, whom Great Library had lovingly embraced as his own, are listed as chief mourners. The couple married in 2015 and divorced in 2023 after 8 years of marriage.

Great Library, whose real name is Na Dong-hyun, began his YouTube career in 2011 and became a prominent figure in the 'one-person media era'. He was known for his diverse content, including gaming and talk shows, amassing approximately 1.44 million subscribers. His engaging personality and sincere communication style earned him a large and dedicated fanbase.
