Internet broadcasting personality D-Library (real name Na Dong-hyun), beloved by many, has passed away unexpectedly. His former wife, Yum-Deng, will be serving as the chief mourner, accompanying him on his final journey.

According to the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul on the 7th, authorities responded to a welfare check request from an acquaintance who reported D-Library was unreachable. Upon arrival at his residence, they discovered he had passed away. No suicide note or signs of foul play were found at the scene.

Police officials stated that his death is presumed to be due to a pre-existing illness, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause. This comes after D-Library had recently complained of chest pains, lending weight to the theory of illness-related complications.

The sudden news has sent shockwaves through the community, especially since D-Library was active just days before his passing. On April 4th, two days prior to his death, he attended the 2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza and was also seen broadcasting live on his YouTube channel.

Yum-Deng, who amicably divorced D-Library in 2023, has reportedly been subjected to malicious comments online following his death. The couple married in 2015, and D-Library notably embraced Yum-Deng's son from a previous marriage as his own, garnering significant public attention.

Despite their divorce, they maintained a close friendship, agreeing to remain friends and supporters of each other's endeavors. Evidence of this can be seen in their continued public displays of mutual encouragement. Currently, Yum-Deng's social media accounts are filled with a mix of supportive messages urging her not to blame herself and harsh, unsolicited criticisms.

The funeral service for D-Library is scheduled for 8 AM on the 9th, with the interment to take place at the Seoul Crematorium.

D-Library, whose real name was Na Dong-hyun, began his streaming career in 2011 and gained immense popularity for his diverse content, including gaming and talk shows. His unique humor and relatable persona endeared him to a vast audience.

He also made appearances on various television programs, further expanding his public recognition. The sudden announcement of his passing has brought profound sadness to the entertainment industry and his devoted fanbase.
