Actress Jeon Won-ju Reveals Shocking Scam Experience: Lost 50 Million Won to a Younger Man

Veteran actress Jeon Won-ju has shared a startling story of being defrauded out of 50 million won (approximately $40,000 USD) by a younger man.

During a segment on the KBS2 show 'The Boss's Ears Are Donkey Ears,' which aired on the 7th, lawyer Kim Hee-joon discussed inheritance and financial matters with Jeon Won-ju. The conversation turned personal when the lawyer inquired about a news report detailing the actress's loss.

Jeon Won-ju explained that she met the man through a hiking club and was charmed by his appearance and affectionate behavior. Despite her usual prudent saving habits, she admitted to lending him the substantial sum, stating, "I just gave it to him because he was so handsome." Lawyer Kim warned that such loans, especially when promising high returns or given to unfamiliar individuals, often turn out to be scams.
