TV CHOSUN's weekend mini-series 'The Confidence Man KR' delivered a thrilling sense of catharsis as Park Min-young, Park Hee-soon, and Joo Jong-hyuk successfully executed a daring plan to seize Jung Woong-in's 50 billion won slush fund and secure his arrest.

In the second episode aired on September 7th, the protagonists' extraordinary schemes and seamless teamwork shone, captivating viewers with spectacular entertainment. The drama proved to be more than just a lighthearted caper comedy, blending sharp social commentary with a compelling mystery.

The episode focused on the intense efforts of Yoon I-rang (Park Min-young), James (Park Hee-soon), and Myung Goo-ho (Joo Jong-hyuk) to perfectly deceive the suspicious Jeon Tae-soo (Jung Woong-in). A glimpse into Yoon I-rang's past, involving a childhood kidnapping, added intrigue to the narrative.

After cleverly overcoming an initial suspicion from Jeon Tae-soo, the trio faced a kidnapping orchestrated by a courier (Bong Sik-yeon) in the Philippines. Despite threats against Myung Goo-ho, Yoon I-rang demonstrated remarkable composure and quick thinking. Myung Goo-ho's heartfelt performance, feigning distress, ultimately earned Jeon Tae-soo's complete trust.

The plan escalated as Jeon Tae-soo, fearing a raid, decided to expedite moving the 50 billion won slush fund. Yoon I-rang devised a method to bypass airport security scanners, facilitating the transfer. However, a detector dog's alert seemed to jeopardize the operation, leading to the seizure of 1 billion won, though this was part of the meticulously laid plan.

To move the remaining funds, the team disguised the operation as a donation campaign by the 'Morae Foundation', using a chartered plane. While Jeon Tae-soo engaged with the press, the money bags were loaded onto the plane. In a dramatic turn, amid chaotic turbulence, James, disguised as a co-pilot, jettisoned the money bags from the cargo hold under the guise of 'weight reduction for safe landing', leaving Jeon Tae-soo in disbelief as he found only white paper upon landing in a sand dune.

Following their successful con, the trio discussed the operation. Yoon I-rang revealed the intricacies, including James's fabricated injury and Myung Goo-ho's calculated role. The funds were anonymously donated to aid young adults transitioning out of foster care. However, news of Jeon Tae-soo's arrest for child abuse and unlawful confinement raised questions about Yoon I-rang's motives. The episode concluded with Yoon I-rang staring at a board with the perpetrator of her childhood kidnapping's photo, ominously stating, 'Checkmate'.
