Kwon Ji-woo Joins KBS Drama 'A Good Day to Be Kind', Starring Lee Young-ae and Kim Young-kwang

Actor Kwon Ji-woo is set to captivate audiences once again as he joins the cast of KBS2's upcoming Saturday-Sunday mini-series, 'A Good Day to Be Kind' (tentative title).

The drama revolves around Kang Eun-soo (played by Lee Young-ae), a parent entangled in a drug case, and Lee Kyung (played by Kim Young-kwang), a tutor with a double life. Their dangerous partnership begins when they accidentally acquire a bag of drugs.

Kwon Ji-woo will portray Choi Kyung-do, a detective in the drug investigation unit who is a former medical student. Choi Kyung-do possesses a brilliant mind, having entered foreign language high school and medical school simultaneously. However, after dropping out of medical school to become a police officer, his lack of flexibility and clumsy movements often leave him feeling like an outcast on the job.

His career takes a significant turn when he catches the eye of Jang Tae-goo (played by Park Yong-woo), a legendary figure in the drug investigation team, leading to his inclusion in the unit. Choi Kyung-do feels immense gratitude towards Team Leader Jang Tae-goo for his mentorship and genuinely admires his abilities and charisma, acting as a loyal junior detective.

Following his impactful performance as the student council president Park Jae-gon in the Coupang Play original series 'Family Plan', Kwon Ji-woo promises to showcase a different facet of his acting in 'A Good Day to Be Kind'. He is expected to prove his broad acting spectrum by transforming into a detective who grows through sheer persistence and a strong sense of responsibility, despite his initial naivety and clumsiness.

Kwon Ji-woo's agency, KeyEast, shared, "Although Kwon Ji-woo is currently serving in the military, he will be meeting viewers through 'A Good Day to Be Kind,' which he completed filming before his enlistment. As an actor who has consistently grown across various genres, we anticipate him displaying fresh charms in this drama as well."

Kwon Ji-woo made his acting debut in the 2021 drama 'Dear.M'.

He left a strong impression playing Park Jae-gon in the Coupang Play series 'Family Plan', released in 2023.

He is currently fulfilling his military service and is set to return to the screen with 'A Good Day to Be Kind', filmed prior to his enlistment.
