Mixed Emotions for Choo Sung-hoon as Daughter Choo Sarang Reaches 170cm: 'Tears of Joy and Sadness'

Martial arts fighter Choo Sung-hoon has expressed his touching yet bittersweet feelings as his daughter, Choo Sarang, experiences a rapid growth spurt.

Choo Sung-hoon recently shared a video on his social media account, noting, "My daughter has truly grown so much. She was born in 2011 and is already 170cm tall!"

The video featured Choo Sarang attending the '2026 S/S Seoul Fashion Week' photo wall event held on the 6th in Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul. Now 14 years old, Choo Sarang captivated onlookers with her impressive 170cm height, features resembling her mother Yano Shiho, and striking proportions.

While Choo Sung-hoon was moved by his daughter's incredible growth, he couldn't hide a sense of melancholy. He confessed, "But why is it? I feel happy yet somehow lonely, and I find myself tearing up watching the video. This must be a parent's heart. I don't wish for her to go to a good university, get a good job, or become rich. An old man's musings."

Choo Sung-hoon married model Yano Shiho in 2009 and they have one daughter, Choo Sarang. He was a prominent figure in the K-1 fighting circuit, often referred to by his nickname 'Staring Monk'. He currently engages with the public through various entertainment programs.
