Actress Moon Chae-won, taking on her first horror role in the film 'The Devil's Game,' shared her candid thoughts on portraying a character dissatisfied with her appearance.

During the press screening and press conference held on the afternoon of the 9th at CGV Yongsan I-Park Mall in Seoul, Moon Chae-won discussed her experience playing 'Chaewon,' a character grappling with dissatisfaction with her looks.

"As an audience member, I'm quite afraid of horror films, and as an actress, I hadn't had many opportunities to tackle the genre. When the offer came, I became curious about the outcome and felt it would be a fresh experience for my fans and the audience, so I started with a light heart," Moon Chae-won explained her reasons for joining the horror film.

Regarding character preparation, she added, "While I didn't have a lot of time, the desire to be beautiful is natural for a woman, so it wasn't difficult to immerse myself. However, I focused on portraying a character more consumed by desire."

She further commented, "It was hard to feel scared on set, and thanks to Ji-soo's cheerful personality, we filmed enjoyably. The feeling of not being satisfied with one's appearance is something anyone can experience, and that's where the character began. When I looked in the mirror during filming, I was acting as the character in the mirror that the camera director was filming, not my own reflection," she said humorously.

'The Devil's Game' is scheduled to be released on the 17th.

Moon Chae-won, who debuted in the 2006 sitcom 'Sharp,' has built a solid acting career with leading roles in dramas such as 'Painter of the Wind,' 'Shining Inheritance,' 'Take Care of the Lady,' 'Good Doctor,' 'Flower Blossoms Flower,' and 'Flower of Evil.' She has showcased a wide acting spectrum, moving seamlessly between historical and contemporary settings, and has recently been active on the big screen.
