Kim Min-kyu Opens Up About His Definition of 'First Love': 'I'm a Lifelong Bachelor'

Actor Kim Min-kyu shared his unique perspective on 'first love,' revealing his honest thoughts during a recent interview.

Having captivated audiences with his refreshing charm in the tvN drama 'For My First Love,' Kim Min-kyu defined first love as 'the first woman one loves after being born, or the idea that a son will eventually meet a woman like his mother.'

He elaborated, stating that true first love involves wanting to do anything for the person, even to the point of death, or experiencing profound pain for the first time. He noted that when he asked seniors on set about the criteria for first love, they predominantly chose the latter, the experience of intense pain.

When asked if first love has happened to him yet, Kim Min-kyu quickly replied, 'No,' humorously adding, 'By that standard, I'm a lifelong bachelor,' eliciting laughter.

He further explained that this personal viewpoint might have helped him immerse himself in the character of Bohyun, and he even sought advice from friends over the phone regarding experiences with love.

Kim Min-kyu made his acting debut in the 2019 drama 'Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung.'
