Paran's Choi Sung-wook Welcomes Twins After 6 Years of Marriage, Praises Wife's Strength
Choi Sung-wook, formerly of the group Paran, has announced the joyous arrival of his twin boy and girl after six years of marriage, sharing his heartfelt gratitude and admiration for his wife.
On the 11th, Choi Sung-wook posted a lengthy message on his personal social media, stating, "On September 8, 2025, Baekho and Yorongi finally saw the light of day." He expressed his thanks to his wife, Ji-hye, for enduring the difficult times, adding, "Her ability to endure all the pain without a NICU during the long labor was the epitome of motherhood, and I deeply respect her."
He confessed that after six years of struggling with infertility and undergoing IVF, he felt a profound sense of awe and pity for his wife, who focused solely on their unborn babies' well-being during the 35 weeks of her pregnancy. Choi Sung-wook reflected, "Seeing her choose to embody a mother rather than her womanly self throughout the pregnancy made me question if I could have endured the same," further emphasizing his admiration for her dedication.
The couple's newborns are currently in the neonatal intensive care unit, drawing strength from each other. "Even though she needs to focus on her recovery, she cries every day when she sees the babies, so I'm constantly comforting her," he shared. "Her words, 'Moms are strong, don't worry,' make me feel deeply ashamed these days."
Concluding his message, Choi Sung-wook pledged his commitment as a father, saying, "Honey, I will do my best as a dad too. Let's all recover quickly, take lots of happy pictures, eat delicious food together, and live happily." He ended with "I love you, honey, Baekho, and Yorongi."
Choi Sung-wook debuted in 2005 as a member of the group Paran. He later transitioned into acting, appearing in various dramas and films and earning recognition for his performances. In 2019, he married his long-time girlfriend, Ji-hye, after a decade of dating.
