Actor Song Il-gook Reveals He's Living Separately from Judge Wife on 'My House, Your House'

Actor Song Il-gook has sparked interest among viewers by sharing his current life on the tvN STORY reality show 'My House, Your House'. The latest episode featured the daily lives of Moon So-ri and Kim Jung-min, with Song Il-gook making a long-awaited appearance and discussing personal matters.

Moon So-ri visited Dongtan to support her mother, who debuted as a senior model at the age of 70. She explained that her Seoul residence functions primarily as a studio, while her Dongtan home is where she truly lives. Moon So-ri reflected on past experiences, including a difficult miscarriage before conceiving her child, and the challenges of balancing her acting career with personal life, particularly when she learned of her pregnancy on the first day of filming for a Park Chan-wook film. She expressed regret over having to forgo the project due to medical advice for absolute rest.

Meanwhile, Kim Jung-min, who is preparing for the musical 'Mamma Mia!', shared her struggles adapting to the musical's distinct vocal techniques, which differ significantly from her 30 years of singing experience. Despite her initial nervousness during a run-through, she managed to relax during a meal with fellow cast members. Song Il-gook also candidly spoke about his teenage sons, the 'Song Triplets,' with a hint of melancholy.

A particularly surprising revelation from Song Il-gook was that he is currently living separately from his wife, who is a judge. He humorously attributed their frequent disagreements to his significant appetite, recounting an instance where he consumed four large dumplings meant for his family during his commute. When asked about the pros and cons of their living arrangement, Kim Jung-min mentioned less cleaning but feelings of loneliness, while Song Il-gook expressed that he simply misses his wife, showcasing his affectionate side.

Song Il-gook married his wife, a judge, on March 15, 2006, and they have triplets named Daehan, Minguk, and Manse. He gained immense popularity through the KBS variety show 'The Return of Superman' in 2014, alongside his sons.
