South Korean comedian Jung Ju-ri expressed deep concern over her fourth son's erratic behavior on the latest episode of 'Grown Up Childlike Me.'

The show, which aired on channel A, followed Jung Ju-ri and her five sons as she navigated the challenges of motherhood. In a segment, her fourth son displayed resistance to going to school, leading to a chaotic morning routine. Despite Jung Ju-ri's attempts to appease him, including using his favorite cartoon character, they ended up being 30 minutes late.

Renowned child psychiatrist Dr. Oh Eun Young, while commending Jung Ju-ri's gentle approach, pointed out the lack of clear boundaries, particularly the absence of emphasizing the importance of punctuality for school. The fourth son also exhibited aggressive tendencies, hitting his second brother and taking out frustration on his third brother, prompting Jung Ju-ri to admit feeling overwhelmed.

Dr. Oh diagnosed the youngest as having a challenging temperament, characterized by high energy, strong will, and clear preferences, advising Jung Ju-ri to adapt her parenting style accordingly. However, when the son refused to eat outside his room, Jung Ju-ri relented, allowing him to eat in the bedroom. When TV access was denied, the child resorted to unusual coping mechanisms, such as sucking his fingers and licking his hands, even reaching out to lick the production staff.

Jung Ju-ri voiced worries about potential regression, noting instances where her son would take his younger brother's pacifier or ask for diapers at home, despite being past that stage. Dr. Oh identified these behaviors as a sign of anxiety, suggesting the child was seeking comfort and attention due to difficulty adapting to changes. She stressed the need for firm boundaries and clear rules, advising Jung Ju-ri against a permissive approach and urging her to help her son navigate these feelings constructively.

Jung Ju-ri, born in 1978, debuted as a KBS comedian in 2005.

She married a non-celebrity in 2014 and is a mother to five sons.

Her recent appearance on television has resonated with many viewers as she shares her relatable parenting journey.
