Shoi, a former member of the iconic K-pop group S.E.S., has revealed a surprising disagreement with her husband, Im Hyo-sung, during a trip to Japan.

In a recent video uploaded to her YouTube channel, 'Human That's Shoi,' titled 'What Happens When Shoi & Hyo-sung Visit a Japanese Maid Cafe (Infinite Moe Moe Kyun),' the couple's visit to a Japanese maid cafe became the center of attention.

Im Hyo-sung expressed discomfort and unfamiliarity with the maid cafe culture, stating, 'It's not fun. It's awkward. Look at the employees' eyes. They look creepy. Like perverts.' This sentiment visibly flustered Shoi.

Conversely, Shoi embraced the maid cafe experience, appreciating the way people in Japan openly express their passions. She commented, 'I respect how Japan honestly and confidently talks about what they like.'

Shoi gently chided her husband for his unenthusiastic demeanor, saying, 'Everyone seems so happy. Why are you ruining the mood? They work with pride in their job. You're not respecting that.' Im Hyo-sung defended his position by saying, 'Of course, I respect their profession. But for me to directly imitate them feels embarrassing. Isn't that how most men feel?'

Shoi countered, 'No, only you feel that way here. Everyone else is enjoying themselves.' Despite his initial reservations, Im Hyo-sung was seen complying with the maid cafe's rules. He concluded by saying, 'I wouldn't recommend this place. I have strong Korean sensibilities. American styles are okay, but this feels a bit too much for me in Japan.'

Shoi debuted in 1997 with the legendary girl group S.E.S., achieving immense popularity.

She has showcased her versatility as an entertainer through acting and musical theatre.

Currently, she actively engages with her fans through her YouTube channel.
