Lee Chae-min's Jealousy Ignites as Rival Appears in 'The King's Chef'
In the latest episode of tvN's weekend drama 'The King's Chef', Lee Chae-min's character, King Lee Heon, displayed intense jealousy.
During the 7th episode aired on the 13th, Yeo Ji-yeong (played by Im Yoon-ah) decided to leave the palace to procure special ingredients for a unique Samgyetang dish. She informed Lee Heon of her intentions, wishing to personally seek out the best ingredients from a scenic location. Although Lee Heon initially offered to accompany her, he was persuaded by Chang Seon (played by Jang Gwang) to remain in the palace. Instead, he assigned Im Song-jae (played by Oh Eui-sik) to escort Yeo Ji-yeong.
As Yeo Ji-yeong departed, Lee Heon watched her go, expressing his discomfort with the thought that others might mistake her and Im Song-jae for a couple, showcasing his growing jealousy. The situation escalated when Gong Gil (played by Lee Joo-an) suddenly appeared before Yeo Ji-yeong and Im Song-jae. Shortly after, Lee Heon himself showed up, asserting the principle of 'men and women of different ages should not sit together' and stating that his presence would prevent any awkward misunderstandings.
Lee Heon's assertive actions highlight his deep affection for Yeo Ji-yeong and his unwillingness to tolerate her proximity to other men, raising anticipation for future plot developments.
