On the evening of the 13th, Byun Hye-jin posted a selfie on her social media, captioning it with her day's activities: "Went to the office, grocery shopping, had brunch, washed the car, watched a movie, ate. I feel like I'm getting more and more haggard."

The photo showed a visibly tired Byun Hye-jin smiling behind the wheel, conveying her exhaustion from a packed schedule. However, just about an hour after posting the selfie, she shared alarming photos from the accident scene, writing, "I look even more haggard... I have so much to do, what do I do now?"

The images revealed her car severely damaged, with the hood completely torn open, exposing the engine. Another angle showed fragments from the torn hood had impacted the driver's side window, shattering it. While the situation could have led to serious injuries, Byun Hye-jin reassured her followers, "Glass shards got everywhere inside, but it wasn't shattered violently, so I didn't sustain major injuries." She added, "This is another lesson that doing your best isn't always enough. Please always drive safely and defensively."
