'Trust and Listen Performance' group MONSTA X members Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Joohoney recently appeared as guests on the YouTube content 'JipDaesung,' captivating viewers with their humorous and candid conversation.

During the show, the trio sat down with host Daesung of BIGBANG, engaging in a wide-ranging discussion that spanned from their military service experiences to behind-the-scenes stories about their new album, 'THE X.' The unique set, designed to resemble a repurposed military base, set a lively tone from the start as they greeted with a powerful military song.

Joohoney shared a remarkable story about winning first place in the 'Battlefield Casualties Treatment' category at the 'Best 300' competition during his service, earning him a commendation from the corps commander, which greatly impressed everyone.

Hyungwon revealed how he received multiple congratulatory leaves during his military duty, while Kihyun confessed the challenges of performing over 300 times in 18 months, handling vocals, MCing, and dancing solo. He also shared how he earned the 'Special Warrior' title within a month, determined not to fall behind his much younger peers.

When Kihyun and Hyungwon mentioned rarely eating late-night snacks or PX food, Joohoney expressed surprise and detailed the late-night meals shared among instructors and his favorite PX cup noodle combination, which received rave reviews.

The members also reminisced about their debut era in 2015 with MONSTA X's 'Trespass,' with Kihyun recalling how BIGBANG members sang their catchy chorus, 'Get in, get in,' in the waiting room, a moment that still resonates with him.

Discussions then turned to their new mini-album, 'THE X.' Hyungwon shared that he headed straight to the recording studio on the day of his discharge and participated in meetings even during his vacation. Regarding the title track 'N the Front,' they expressed immediate affection for the demo, feeling it was a destined song.

Kihyun elaborated on the pre-release track 'Do What I Want,' explaining their desire for a new challenge for their 10th anniversary, a concept unexpected from MONSTA X. Joohoney added that while initially worried about the new direction, he found courage in the potential for growth through embracing new challenges, underscoring the album's significance.

Finally, they joined Daesung in games like the 'Pony Game' and 'Super Mario,' showcasing MONSTA X's signature fun energy and promising to play together again, concluding the broadcast on a high note. MONSTA X is currently actively promoting their new title track 'N the Front.'
