Choo Shin-soo Recounts Smashing Wife's Phone in Fit of Rage

Former MLB star Choo Shin-soo shared a surprising anecdote on the SBS variety show 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny'.

Appearing as a special guest on the show aired on the 15th, Choo revealed an incident where he became so frustrated with his wife not answering his urgent calls that he ended up breaking her phone.

"I had an urgent matter and called my wife, but she didn't pick up," Choo explained. "I was so angry that as soon as I got home, I asked where her phone was, and the moment she pointed it out, I grabbed it and smashed it. I was furious that she carried it around but didn't answer when I called."

Fellow cast members Kim Gu-ra and Seo Jang-hoon reacted with amusement, with Kim calling him 'a person with many issues' and Seo joking that smashing a phone warrants a trip to 'divorce counseling camp'.

Choo added that he bought his wife a new phone the very next day. He further elaborated that his frustration stemmed from seeing his wife constantly on her phone and engaging with social media when they were together.

Choo Shin-soo is a celebrated South Korean professional baseball player who had a successful career in Major League Baseball. Known for his powerful hitting and leadership on the field, he became a household name. Following his retirement from professional play, he continues to be involved in baseball through various capacities.
