
Jeon Hye-bin Reflects on JTBC's 'The Lawyers': "A Set Where We Could Film for 10 Seasons"
Actress Jeon Hye-bin has shared her thoughts on the recently concluded JTBC drama ‘The Lawyers’ (Esquire: Lawyers Dreaming of Lawyers), reflecting on the series and her character.
Jeon Hye-bin garnered praise for her portrayal of lawyer Heo Min-jung, showcasing both intellectual charisma and warm humanity. She expressed deep affection for the character, stating, "Min-jung might seem fragile on the outside, but she is a strong individual who has stood firm on her own after enduring countless losses." She added, "I've also experienced failures and setbacks in my life and tried to overcome them, so I could deeply empathize with Min-jung and immerse myself in the role."
Her satisfaction with the filming environment was also notably high. Jeon Hye-bin highlighted director Kim Jae-hong's gentle leadership and respect for the actors, which created a consistently warm and comfortable atmosphere, allowing her to fully focus on her acting. She humorously remarked, "If the set is this good, we could easily do 10 seasons," expressing profound contentment with the working environment.
Speaking about her chemistry with co-star Lee Hak-joo, she commented, "We had great synergy and filmed enjoyably." She further explained that a good set allows actors to become fully immersed, leading to natural performances. Regarding her choice of ‘The Lawyers’ as her comeback drama, she described it as "a love letter to me," expressing her hope that the story, which she wishes to revisit when tired by life's burdens, will remain in the hearts of viewers for a long time.
