Bae Yoon-kyung to Tackle Dual Role in Innovative AI Film 'Genfluencer'

Actress Bae Yoon-kyung, who first gained attention on 'Heart Signal' Season 1, is set to star in the groundbreaking AI-hybrid film 'Genfluencer'.

She will portray a dual role, playing both the protagonist 'Lee Jin', who dreamed of becoming an idol but suffered a tragic accident, and 'Jina', a K-pop idol reborn through generative AI. The film is a psychological suspense action piece depicting this transformation.

Selected for the 2025 AI Video Content Production Support Project by the Korea Creative Content Agency, 'Genfluencer' marks an innovative attempt, with 50% of its total filming to be realized through AI-generated visuals, a first for a Korean feature film. This ambitious approach is expected to deliver a unique visual aesthetic never before seen.

Bae Yoon-kyung's challenge of embodying two characters grappling with desire and confusion promises a complex portrayal of inner turmoil, showcasing her versatility. The fresh combination of a new genre and the actress's performance has heightened public anticipation.

Previously, Bae Yoon-kyung captivated audiences with her stable acting skills and charming demeanor in dramas like 'Wedding Impossible', 'Crash Course in Romance', and 'The King's Affection'.
