Moon Ga-young to Host Mnet's 'STEAL HEART CLUB', Promises 'Band Curator' Role

Actress Moon Ga-young has been confirmed as the MC for Mnet's new global band-making survival program, 'STEAL HEART CLUB'.

Her profile photos, released on the 18th, showcase Moon Ga-young's sharp gaze and confident poses, embodying the program's energetic spirit. She is set to appear not just as a host but as a 'band curator' guiding the contestants' journey.

"I am incredibly happy to be able to experience and personally introduce band music, which I've always loved, up close," Moon Ga-young shared her excitement about joining the show. She added, "I've often spoken about my fondness for band music, so when this opportunity arose, the surprise and joy were immense. I wanted to be a part of it without hesitation."

She revealed her long-standing affection for band music, having listened to it frequently since middle school. Moon Ga-young finds the rich sound created by the synergy of various instruments particularly captivating. She enjoys listening to a single song repeatedly, focusing on each instrument like the drums or bass.

When asked about the unique charm of 'STEAL HEART CLUB,' Moon Ga-young highlighted how "even if they aren't perfect, their passion and sincerity come together to create lovable and surprising performances." Reflecting on the first recording, she said, "The audience's passionate energy made the atmosphere even more vibrant. Feeling the contestants' nervousness and earnestness firsthand made me root for all of them."

'STEAL HEART CLUB' is a global band-making project where contestants, armed with their unique music and emotions, compete to become the 'ultimate headliner band.' Alongside MC Moon Ga-young, Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jang-won, Sunwoo Jung-a, and Ha Sung-woon will join as directors. The show premieres on October 21st.

Moon Ga-young debuted as a child actress in the 2006 MBC sitcom 'High Kick!' and has since built a solid acting career through various projects. Recently, she showcased her versatile acting skills in the tvN drama 'True Beauty' and the movie 'The Family Plan: Returns.' Furthermore, her status as a fashion icon was cemented when she graced the cover of 'Vogue Korea' in 2021.
