Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang Admits Hunger Pangs During First Fixed Variety Show Filming

Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang has revealed her unique struggles during the filming of her first fixed variety show, admitting that she paradoxically gets hungrier on filming days.

At the production presentation for the new variety program ‘Don't Know Where to Go’ (literal title), jointly produced by ENA, NTX, and ComedyTV, held on the morning of the 19th at the Grand Ballroom of Stanford Hotel Seoul in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Tzuyang sparked curiosity by stating, "I actually get hungrier on filming days."

‘Don't Know Where to Go’ is an impromptu relay restaurant exploration show where a restaurant owner recommends their favorite spot, determining the next destination. This marks Tzuyang's first venture into a fixed variety show after seven years of personal broadcasting.

Tzuyang shared her thoughts on joining the show, "The PD contacted me, and I went out of a sense of obligation just to see them, but they spoke so comfortably. They made me feel at ease, so I decided to appear right away." She added, "People around me also encouraged me to participate, saying, 'You'll be with great people,' and it's truly wonderful; they treat me so well. I feel like I'm socializing."

Despite her quick decision to join, Tzuyang faced challenges. "I already knew how difficult it could be to cast guests since I do it myself. I worried if we could successfully cast people during filming," she confessed. "The travel time was so long that I got incredibly hungry. Filming days are the days I eat the least," she revealed. Despite her reputation as a big eater, Tzuyang mentioned that she actually loses weight on filming days because she eats less.

"I usually order delivery food when the shoot is almost over. Even though I'm hungry, it's fun," Tzuyang added with a smile.

Meanwhile, fellow cast members, actor Ahn Jae-hyun and broadcaster Jonathan, expressed astonishment at Tzuyang's eating capacity. Ahn Jae-hyun remarked, "There's a black hole inside Tzuyang," while Jonathan added, "She never says she's full."

‘Don't Know Where to Go’, featuring Kim Dae-ho, Ahn Jae-hyun, Tzuyang, and Jonathan, is set to premiere on the 21st at 7:30 PM.

Tzuyang is a popular mukbang YouTuber who launched her channel in 2019. She has gained a massive following both domestically and internationally for her exceptional eating skills and her candid, humorous personality. Recently, she has been expanding her presence beyond YouTube by appearing in various television programs.
