Actress Ham Eun-jung has expressed her sincere gratitude to the viewers following the successful conclusion of the KBS2 daily drama 'Queen of the House'.

The drama, which wrapped up its 100-episode run on the 19th, revolved around a revenge plot where a woman, who believed her life was perfect, fights to reclaim it after it's stolen. It garnered significant popularity, achieving a peak viewership rating of 11.9% and capturing the audience's attention.

Ham Eun-jung took on the role of Kang Jae-in, the youngest design team leader at YL Group. Her character dreamed of a simple life but found it turned upside down by unforeseen circumstances. This marked her first venture into a revenge drama, delivering thrilling catharsis and deep immersion, solidifying her reputation as a 'Queen of Daily Dramas'.

On her daring on-screen transformations, Ham Eun-jung shared, "Perhaps because I was active with T-ara, I find such transformations enjoyable. I believe in doing what's necessary and have no objections to taking on challenging roles."

She further elaborated on the character's multifaceted persona, stating, "The unexpected transformations were challenging. It was important to establish boundaries. The director's intent was for viewers to question why Jae-in had to go to such lengths. While acting, I wanted to create a stronger connection, but due to the nature of playing multiple disguised roles, conveying that it was a deliberate act of deception was difficult, which I regret."

Despite the demanding physical toll, Ham Eun-jung recalled the intense schedule. "Physically, I only had one or two days off per week. On these days, I had to do costume fittings in advance, visit the dermatologist, exercise, and memorize new scripts, which consumed the entire day. By the end of the week, I barely had the strength to wash myself. This level of exhaustion was entirely new to me. Senior actors advised taking supplements, so we supported each other's stamina. We also occasionally received IV drips to replenish our energy. However, the script was so engaging that releasing emotions through shouting helped relieve stress."

Even after injuring her leg near the end of filming, she felt apologetic. "I was going to go to the hospital after shooting, but they urged me to go immediately. This meant delaying filming by a day, which would lead to a heavier workload the following week. I felt sorry and worried. They arranged for a stunt double, and I continued filming while receiving treatment. Usually, an actor's injury causes significant disruption, but we managed to resume as usual after just a day's pause."

She concluded by expressing her deep appreciation: "Seeing the viewers' opinions and support gave me strength. Knowing that people were watching and enjoying it made it impossible to give up. The idea that our hardships made the drama more enjoyable for the viewers was a driving force. I also felt a sense of gratitude to repay them."

Ham Eun-jung debuted in 2009 as a member of the popular K-pop group T-ara, where she served as a main vocalist and rapper. Beyond her music career, she has consistently honed her acting skills, appearing in numerous dramas such as 'Coffee House', 'Picking Stars', and 'Time'. She has also expanded her musical horizons as a solo artist, releasing tracks like 'Deja Vu'.
