Son Ye-jin Recalls Grueling 20s: 'I Don't Want to Go Back'

Actress Son Ye-jin reminisced about her challenging twenties, sharing candid thoughts on the intense period of her life.

A YouTube channel 'Jejung Station' uploaded a video titled 'But Your Son is So Pretty, Ye-jin.. Genetics Can't Be Helped?'. When host Jung Jae-hyung inquired about the hardships of drama filming, Son Ye-jin revealed, "Back in the day, we didn't even have time to remove our makeup or wash our hair. We spent years, almost our entire twenties, like that."

Son Ye-jin frankly stated, "Honestly, I don't want to go back to my twenties." She confessed, "The immense desire to do well, the pressure of public perception, and the physical exhaustion from juggling schedules – all of it combined made my hands tremble."

When Jung Jae-hyung jokingly asked if her thirties were better thanks to Hyun Bin, she replied, "I met my husband quite late in life." Son Ye-jin continued, "This is the best time. Before, I only saw what was directly in front of me like a racehorse, but after having a child, my perspective has broadened. The world seems more poignant and beautiful, and things I couldn't see before are now visible. Everything seems to have changed."

Son Ye-jin debuted in the 2001 MBC sitcom 'Soonpoong Clinic', marking the beginning of her acting career. She solidified her image as a 'Melodrama Queen' through the 2003 drama 'Summer Scent' and the film 'The Classic'. In 2022, she married actor Hyun Bin and they have one son.
