Singer Baek Z Young Opens Up About Daughter's Future, Revealing 'True Parent' Worries

Veteran singer Baek Z Young has revealed her 'true parent' side as she shared her concerns regarding her only daughter's future career path.

A recent video uploaded to Baek Z Young's YouTube channel, 'Baek Z Young Baek Z Young,' on the 6th, titled 'Baek Z Young ♥ Jeong Seok Won's First Visit to Eumaseongdae's Best Restaurant in 13 Years of Marriage?', showcased the couple dining at Eumaseongdae.

During their meal, Baek Z Young encountered an intern who was finishing their last day. It turned out the intern was a student at Seoul National University's Department of Western Painting. Her husband, Jeong Seok Won, and Baek Z Young expressed surprise at the intern's academic background and choice to attend a Korean university after graduating from a prestigious American boarding school, the Asheville School, and briefly attending the Rhode Island School of Design.

Baek Z Young, deeply impressed by the intern's capabilities, shared her own parental concerns: "My daughter is good at drawing. She really likes ink wash painting, and I'm paying close attention to how to guide her future career." Jeong Seok Won proudly added, "Our daughter won the grand prize at a national competition," showing a picture of her artwork.

Baek Z Young's daughter is currently nine years old and attends an international school with an annual tuition of 30 million KRW. The intern praised the daughter's drawings, stating, "She draws much better than I did at age nine. I'm not just saying that," further impressing Baek Z Young.

Baek Z Young debuted in 1999 with the duo 'Wow 2K' and quickly became a recognized name in the music industry. She later transitioned to a successful solo career, releasing numerous hit songs like 'Like Being Hit by a Bullet' and 'Don't Forget,' earning her the title 'Queen of Ballads.' She married actor Jeong Seok Won in 2013, and they have one daughter together.
