Ayumi Reveals Reason for Marrying Husband Just 6 Months After Meeting

Singer Ayumi has shared the story behind her quick marriage, tying the knot just six months after meeting her husband, sparking interest among fans.

Appearing on MBN's 'Let's Go Together' Season 5, Ayumi detailed her love story, from their initial blind date encounter to their wedding day.

She recounted their first meeting, describing an immediate connection: "We had so much fun and our conversation flowed so well, even though it was our first time meeting. It felt like we'd known each other forever, and I felt more closeness and comfort than butterflies."

Ayumi explained their swift decision to marry, stating, "We decided to date with the intention of marriage, aiming not to waste time. After confirming our feelings, we introduced ourselves to each other's parents and got married within six months." She also mentioned that meeting her husband's warm and loving parents solidified her decision to marry him.

Speaking about her husband, who is two years her senior, Ayumi praised his youthful appearance, adding, "He's a baby face, and he's been working out to build stamina because he has a child, which has made him look even younger." She also touched upon her health consciousness due to being an older mother and her efforts to raise her daughter bilingually by reading her Japanese and Korean storybooks.

Ayumi debuted in 2001 as a member of the girl group Sugar and later pursued a solo career. She has also been active in various variety shows. In October 2022, she announced her marriage to a non-celebrity businessman two years her senior.
