Former CATS Member Kim Ji-hye Hospitalized for Emergency C-Section Amidst Difficult Labor

Kim Ji-hye, formerly of the popular girl group CATS, has been rushed to the hospital for an emergency cesarean section as she nears her delivery date. Her husband, Choi Sung-wook, a former member of the group PARAN, shared the urgent news via his social media on the 8th, drawing concern from fans.

Choi revealed that his wife's water broke suddenly around 3:30 AM, accompanied by bleeding, prompting a hasty trip to the emergency room. "Labor has progressed significantly, and it appears an emergency C-section will be performed immediately," he stated. He added, "I hope both my wife and our baby are healthy. Please pray for them," expressing his helplessness.

Kim had recently shared candid updates on her social media about the challenges of her late pregnancy and motherhood. She had described experiencing frequent uterine contractions and intense fetal movements, causing her considerable pain, and had been advised by her doctor to come to the hospital immediately, despite not being due yet.

Kim Ji-hye married Choi Sung-wook in 2019 and recently succeeded in conceiving twins through IVF treatment after facing difficulties.
