Musical actress Ok Joo-hyun has finally addressed the 'Ok-Jang-Pan' controversy that surrounded her three years ago. Appearing on Channel A's 'Four-Person Table' on the 8th, Ok Joo-hyun candidly confessed her feelings about the casting dispute for the musical 'Elizabeth'.

Reflecting on the situation, Ok Joo-hyun clarified, "It wasn't that I pushed someone through," explaining that she and fellow musical actress Lee Ji-eun couldn't contact each other because they were "not okay." The controversy erupted when Ok Joo-hyun and Lee Ji-eun were double-cast in 'Elizabeth,' and Ok Joo-hyun's acquaintance Gil Byeong-min was cast as the male lead, Franz Joseph, sparking speculation about Ok Joo-hyun's influence. The situation escalated with a social media post by Kim Ho-young related to 'Ok-Jang-Pan,' prompting Ok Joo-hyun to announce legal action against those spreading baseless rumors.

Ok Joo-hyun emphasized that her actions were to "guide fellow actress Lee Ji-eun to learn and perform well as a senior," denying any intention to force a specific casting. Lee Ji-eun also shared her distress, revealing she received messages of concern instead of congratulations upon her casting and recalled weeping with Ok Joo-hyun after the musical concluded. Ok Joo-hyun expressed her aspiration to be remembered as an artist who is continuously evolving and full of potential.

Ok Joo-hyun debuted in 2004 as a member of the popular girl group Fin.K.L. She later transitioned to musical theater, earning recognition as a 'diva' for her powerful vocals and acting skills. Ok Joo-hyun has starred in numerous hit musicals such as 'The Phantom of the Opera,' 'Rebecca,' and 'Wicked,' solidifying her status as a top performer.
