RIIZE Celebrates 2nd Debut Anniversary with Generous ₩100 Million Donation Alongside Fans
K-pop sensation RIIZE has celebrated their second debut anniversary with a significant act of generosity, donating ₩100 million (approximately $73,000 USD) to charity. The Community Chest of Korea (Fruit of Love) announced on September 9th that the group, along with their official fan club Briize, contributed a total of ₩104,046,577 to mark the milestone.
RIIZE's symbolic ₩100 million donation was made in the name of their fan club, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. The fans, Briize, further amplified this gesture by adding over ₩4 million through a special online QR code fundraising campaign. This collaborative effort brought the total donation to an impressive sum exceeding ₩104 million.
The funds raised from the campaign, which ran from September 4th to 7th via the Fruit of Love website, will be directed towards providing medical assistance for children from low-income families. Specifically, the aid will support pediatric patients undergoing treatment for childhood cancer, rare diseases, and cochlear implant surgeries, aiming to alleviate financial burdens and foster healthier futures for these young individuals. This initiative highlights RIIZE's ongoing commitment to positive influence beyond their musical endeavors since their 2023 debut.
RIIZE, an emerging K-pop group under SM Entertainment, debuted on September 4, 2023, with the single album 'Get A Guitar.' The group consists of seven members: Sungchan, Sohee, Wonbin, Seunghan, Eunseok, Shotaro, and Anton. They are known for their unique 'emotional pop' genre, focusing on conveying various emotions through their music and performances.
