Comedian Im La-ra Pushes Through Schedules While Heavily Pregnant, Suffers Extreme Fatigue

Comedienne Im La-ra experienced severe physical distress while pushing through her schedule in the late stages of pregnancy.

A video uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Enjoy Couple' on the 10th, titled 'The Struggles of a Workaholic Woman During Pregnancy + Maternity Photoshoot!', showed Im La-ra in a weakened state. She was seen resting in a car before a schedule, struggling with pain that made it difficult to form a fist due to swelling. She expressed concerns about being able to walk soon and enduring until her 37th week of pregnancy.

The video continued to document her difficulties on another filming day, where she woke up exhausted and distressed, wishing for relief. Her husband, Son Min-soo, tried to comfort her with massages, expressing his helplessness and sorrow at her condition, especially with a long day of schedules ahead. Im La-ra mentioned experiencing nightmares and the onset of pregnancy-related insomnia, finding it hard to even consume water or medication.

Despite her critical condition, Im La-ra continued to her next appointment, lying down for most of the car ride. Son Min-soo offered words of affirmation and encouragement, reminding her of her strength. He also promised her a healing trip abroad after childbirth, emphasizing the importance of rest, though Im La-ra initially worried about leaving their children. She shared her anxieties about stressful dreams involving fights and harm to her baby, which Son Min-soo attributed to her sleep deprivation and overall stress.

Im La-ra shared that subscribers had told her the period from 20 weeks onwards is when pregnancy becomes more challenging, with the 'gates of hell' opening around 30 weeks. She also noted the beginning of 'eating cravings' (meok-deot) after eating a meal prepared by her husband. Arriving at the filming set for 'The One Won't Break 2', Im La-ra complained of intense discomfort, feeling as though her belly would burst, making it difficult to breathe.

Im La-ra is a popular South Korean comedian known for her content on the 'Enjoy Couple' YouTube channel, which she runs with her husband Son Min-soo. The couple married in December 2021 and are expecting their first child. Despite her pregnancy, Im La-ra continues to engage with her fans through her content creation.
