Singer Yubin, formerly of the iconic girl group Wonder Girls, has shared her heartfelt thanks as a national petition advocating for health insurance coverage for a breast cancer brain metastasis treatment has surpassed 50,000 signatures.

On her personal social media, Yubin posted an update about the petition, titled 'Petition for the Application of Health Insurance Benefits and Prompt Processing for Breast Cancer Brain Metastasis Treatment.' She expressed deep gratitude to everyone who joined forces and offered their valuable support.

"Your cheers and support have been a great source of strength for my family and have given much hope and courage to many patients," Yubin stated. She further conveyed, "Above all, I could feel your warm hearts. I will cherish your heartfelt sentiments and express my gratitude for a long time. Your kindness has been a great comfort. I will never forget it."

Previously, Yubin had shared the difficult news about her older sister, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 and has since been undergoing challenging treatment. The cancer unfortunately spread to her brain last year, causing her daily suffering. Despite finding an effective treatment, financial barriers made accessing proper care difficult, prompting Yubin to appeal for public support through the petition.

Yubin debuted in 2007 as a member of the globally recognized K-pop group Wonder Girls.

Beyond her music career, she has explored acting and variety shows, showcasing her versatile talents.

She currently leads her own entertainment company, continuing her journey as a solo artist and entrepreneur.
