KBS2's 'Twelve' Concludes with a Victorious Ending, Praised for 'Good Triumphs Over Evil'
KBS2's weekend drama 'Twelve' reached its grand finale on the 14th, offering a satisfying conclusion.
The final episode, the 8th, depicted the ultimate showdown between the twelve guardian angels and the malevolent force, Sa-min (played by Kim Chan-hyung). After a fierce battle fought with all their might, the angels ultimately vanquished the forces of evil, restoring light to the human world and concluding with a happy ending where good prevailed over evil.
In the episode, Tae-san (played by Ma Dong-seok) fiercely confronted the evil forces led by Sa-min. Won-seung (played by Seo In-guk) along with Doni (Ko Kyu-pil), Kang-ji (Kang Mi-na), Jwidol (Sung Yu-bin), Mal-sook (Ahn Ji-hye), and Bang-ul (Regina Ray) found themselves in an unavoidable conflict against Han-woo (Na In-woo), Teacher To (Bae Yoo-ram), Yang-mi (Han Ye-ji), and Dal-gi (Han Jae-in), who had been corrupted by Sa-min and reawakened.
However, the overwhelming power of Sa-min and the numerical disadvantage led to Tae-san's eventual fall, heightening the tension. O-gwi (Park Hyung-sik), having regained his strength, charged towards Sa-min, reigniting a fierce exchange. Yet, in the process of saving Tae-san, O-gwi suffered a fatal blow.
Awakened by rage, Tae-san unleashed a relentless barrage of punches imbued with blue flames upon Sa-min, delivering a cathartic moment as the villain was ultimately annihilated.
With Sa-min's demise, Mi-re (Lee Joo-bin), who had regained her dragon soul, embraced the unconscious O-gwi in sorrow, marking a tragic end to their romance. Won-seung and his companions, after subduing the four corrupted angels through a desperate combined effort, rushed to the shrine. Upon seeing O-gwi's state, they were filled with despair, leaving a poignant lingering feeling.
Finally, Tae-san and the angels closed the gates of hell, bringing light back to the world. Simultaneously, Han-woo, Teacher To, Yang-mi, and Dal-gi awakened in their appearance from thousands of years ago before the angels, marking a touching reunion. The angels then assisted the four angels in adapting to the drastically changed human world, returning to their everyday lives.
Geum-soon (Ye Soo-jung), who had safely recovered, was seen with the angels, bringing relief to the viewers. However, a mysterious figure appearing before Tae-san and Mi-re hinted at the beginning of a new story, foreshadowing future developments.
