A devoted fan of singer and actor Lee Jun-young has demonstrated heartwarming generosity, making a donation to commemorate the release of his new mini-album, 'Last Dance'.
Compassion, an international child development organization, announced on the 18th that an anonymous fan of Lee Jun-young contributed 3 million Korean Won (approximately $3,000 USD).
The funds are designated to support the kidney transplant treatment for a 18-year-old named Benedicta, who resides in Ghana and suffers from a serious illness. Compassion Korea plans to cover the costs associated with pre-operative examinations, surgery, medication, and post-operative recovery to help Benedicta regain her health and return to daily life.
The anonymous donor shared, "Through supporting my artist, I discovered the joy of expressing love, and I wanted to spread that positive influence." They added, "I hope this donation becomes a small seed of hope for children worldwide suffering from illness, helping them grow and pursue their dreams."
An official from Compassion Korea expressed gratitude, stating, "We are deeply thankful for the fan who translated their sincere support for Lee Jun-young into such a meaningful act of giving." They pledged, "We will do our best to ensure this donation leads to significant support and that fans' warm hearts contribute to a healthy culture of giving."
Lee Jun-young debuted as a member of the group U-KISS and has actively pursued a music career. He recently garnered praise for his nuanced performance in the Netflix original series 'The 8 Show'.
