The iconic American late-night talk show, 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', has been abruptly suspended. ABC, the broadcasting network, officially announced on the 17th (local time) that the show's airing would be indefinitely paused due to host Jimmy Kimmel's recent controversial remarks concerning the late conservative podcaster Charlie Kirk.

During the opening of his show on the 15th, Kimmel addressed the political reactions surrounding Kirk, who was tragically killed in a shooting at the age of 31. He directly criticized what he termed the 'MAGA mob distorting the Charlie Kirk incident for political gain' and satirized former President Donald Trump's tribute to the deceased.

Kimmel mockingly commented that Trump was in the 'fourth stage of grief, the demolition stage,' and likened his act of lowering the flag to half-mast to a 'four-year-old reacting to losing a goldfish,' sharply criticizing the gesture.

The broadcast triggered immediate backlash. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr warned of legal action against ABC, and Nexstar Media Group, a major broadcaster owner, publicly stated it would replace the program on ABC-affiliated channels. Under intense pressure, ABC ultimately decided to suspend the show.

Charlie Kirk recently passed away due to a shooting incident at an event in Utah. While Jimmy Kimmel extended condolences to Kirk's wife and children via social media shortly after the accident, his on-air comments have led him to face his biggest career crisis.

Jimmy Kimmel has been a prominent figure in late-night television for over two decades, known for his sharp wit and often controversial humor. His show has frequently tackled political issues, sparking national conversations. Kimmel's career has seen him host the Academy Awards multiple times, showcasing his versatility beyond his talk show.
